At our Blub, zegt de vis location in Amstelveen, we provide childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years. With our diverse range of play and activity options, children have the opportunity to develop and discover their talents to the fullest.
At SamSam, we believe that every child is full of potential and actively shapes their own development. That’s why we give them all the space they need to grow and explore.
Children can also explore the world around them outdoors. The location has a beautiful garden with various play materials. Babies can safely experience the outdoors in a specially designated area of the garden just for them. In addition to playing in our own garden, we can also take trips to the park located just across from the facility.

Groups
Baby group (0 – 2 years)
The baby group is designed for children between 0 and 2 years old. During this stage, children go through important developments, and we provide them with the space to calmly observe the world around them, as well as the opportunity to crawl or take their first steps when they are ready.
For crawling and walking babies, there are climbing and crawling materials, as well as challenging play corners with items such as building materials, balls, dolls, natural materials, and other open-ended toys. Additionally, babies can explore the outside world in our special baby garden.
Babies have a natural need to explore the world through their senses. They discover the world around them by tasting, looking, listening, smelling and feeling. That’s why we don’t work with themes in the baby groups, but instead offer sensomotor activities. When babies are stimulated with different textures, sights, sounds, smells, and tastes, neural connections between brain cells are formed, which in turn supports the development of intelligence. Everything the baby hears, sees, touches, smells or tastes provides a foundation for future learning.
A maximum of 8 children are cared for in the baby group. This ensures there is enough space for personalized attention for each child.
Toddler group (2 – 4 years)
The toddler group is designed for children aged 2 to 4 years. The group is set up with various play corners that cater to the different interests and needs of the children. Through play with our materials and interaction with other children, we stimulate the development of language and communication skills, as well as social-emotional and motor skills.
Each day, we organize activities based on changing themes that align with the children’s interests. Free play is also an important part of the day, where staff facilitate a challenging play environment and guide the children in a coaching role.
To promote autonomy and development, we encourage the children’s independence. The groups are set up in a way that allows children to access materials on their own and help set the table. Additionally, the children are encouraged to dress themselves, and we teach them how to stand up for themselves when interacting with others.
The toddler group accommodates a maximum of 15 children with three staff members.
